Hammy The Hamster

So I caved in and got the girlies a hamster, I was 17 last time I had one, took me a while to get over it (RIP Sioux),

It was the last one in the shop, rejected by all of the other kids, it’s supposed to be named Hammy, although it goes by many other names, first was the ‘ginger ninja’ as it’s a total nutter (its second name) and not like any other hamster I’ve known before, it sleeps upside down in its wheel, thinks it’s a bat, it snuggled up next to me on the sofa and went to sleep and it jumps, totally bizarre, but terribly cute!

Coming soon, hammy cam, LOL…..

Summer holiday blog

Been on some nice days out, Castle Drogo was cool, the Wolfshead Bowmen were encamped there re-creating a bit of medieval England , I love this period in history. The girlies had a go at archery which they all enjoyed and was highly amusing to watch, I didn’t have a go for safety’s sake, it’s not that im a bad shot, but I am terribly mischevious;0)

Unfortunately the castle was closed, bit gutted, I enjoy having a mooch about, taking in some history and checking out the artwork, but the gardens are very lovely there, well worth a trip. Took some great photos, but unfortunately the National Trust have gone rather shed happy (bottom right of the photo) so the front of the castle isn’t as impressive looking as it could have been, why they didn’t locate the education shed further along I do not know! The castle is said to be the last castle to be built in England and was completed in 1930 I think.

Also went to the Tintagel show, where the Battle of Camlann (Legendary King Arthurs last battle) was re-enacted, that was sooooo groovy, the atmosphere was great and lots of people had fab costumes, I want. The girlies loved the jester, he was very funny and seemed to be enjoying himself too, spied him in the beer tent, don’t blame him!
This chivalrous chap was kind enough to pose for us straight after coming off the battle field, poor bloke was very, very tired, not that you can tell, he did a great fierce pose!
I can never get enough of knights in shining armour, poor hubby LOL. Don’t think he needs to worry too much, check out the pic of me & my friend Tina with the knight, I can’t even sort out holding up the sword, big girls blouse! I didn’t get the name of the Knight, think he was part of the Northland Mercenaries? Just in case he ever reads this, thank you for the having your photo taken with us!
