Abstract VS Sunset Paintings

| I’ve been busily painting in all of my spare holiday time, mainly working on my new dark and devious gothic collection of canvas paintings. The new collection is coming along fantastically well, I am longing to put some photos online for feedback, but I promised myself that I wouldn’t even show a peep until all of the paintings are complete and I can have a grand unveiling !
I’ve had some great Mazoo commissions for canvas paintings this week and it seems that my darker shaded works are very much in vogue, cool eh? There also seems to have been a trend for sunset paintings outselling my abstract art work, which is unusual, so very interesting, perhaps it has something to do with the weather, a touch of sunshine after all of the terribly heavy rain we have had. The colour pallets of the paintings which I have been commissioned for are not only darker but have also seen a shift away from the more understated neutral greys, chocolate browns and creams and instead towards more luxurious reds and purples. Although there have been, of course, some wonderful crossovers in terms of colour in recent months from my ‘A Beautiful time’ collection, where fusions of lavish reds and cream, created fantastic contemporary canvas art, in a yin and yang approach. Whilst I do enjoy the neutrals, I am now soooooo enjoying being engulfed in rich colour (quite literally im a messy madam when I paint) once again. These rich coloured paintings fit so very well into modern settings, often adding a splash of show stoppingly gorgeous colour and sit equally as well in more historical settings, creating a feeling of drama and an elegant, eclectic air. I have had some re-decoration done in my place recently, so I am putting three of my personal paintings up for grabs in the specials category as sale items, they are in super condition and there is also the added bonus that they are ready for next day delivery.(after cleared funds) Check them out: |
