Canvas Art Finish, Matte or Gloss?

A recent order from www.mazoo.co.uk has made me realize that I need to update purchasers about the finish on my paintings.
All paintings on Mazoo are created using the finest, high quality acrylic paints and the finish on them is very flexible, heat and water resistant, so they do not require an extra varnish for protection on completion, the end result is a fairly matte finish, so if you do require a more satin finish, please do let me know at the time of purchase. I will then apply an acrylic lacquer top coat.
All paintings look great in both matte and satin finishes, so I find that the required finish is more about personal preference and the setting in which the painting is to be hung. If, for instance, your room has a rustic feel to it, the satin effect may not sit well, though if your room is sleek and modern, the more shiny top coat can look super.
Playing with textures in a room is a subtle yet effective way of creating a stylish ambience.
