ARTIST INFO
Artist: Kathryn Crocker

” Born in Birmingham 9.7.1980, schooled at Brixham Community College 1991 - 1996 then South Devon College for Arts and Technology 1998 - 2001, completing a Btech National Diploma in Art and Design.

I now work as a full time self employed Artist, from my home in Cornwall , where I live with my husband, Nathan Crocker and my four beautiful daughters Milli, Maya, Lily and Eva.

I enjoy the finer things in life, art , family and dark chocolate! I am a beach bum at heart, inspired by the fantastic Cornish coastline , there are many beach, surf and seascape paintings in my portfolio. Traveling is a passion and I have fallen head-over-heels in love with Prague and charles bridge .

Musically I listen to heavy metal/goth/industrial/alternative. I dont have much time for television, but I do like sci-fi, which occasionally influences my painting styles. I am into reading spy books at the moment.

Art wise im open to everything, all of the great masters of course influence us artists of today, I enjoy most styles. If pushed to choose a contemporary artist whom I most admire, it would be Cathy de Monchaux, her sculptures are tremendously beautiful.

I owe a huge thank you to my family, friends and the collectors of my artwork, from whom I have received an overwhelming amount of encouragement, support and positivity, so thank you all.

If you create an account with Mazoo you can receive my free monthly email news letter with offers, updates of what i have been up to and the odd photo of my paint throwing! ”

    Hi,

I hope you don’t mind me contacting you? I’ve been having a bit of a hunt around online and I notice from you blog that you have an interest in contemporary art & abstract and I thought you might be interested in some cool contemporary art activity I’m working on for Becks.

Beck’s have supported contemporary art for the best part of 20 years - lending emerging artists such Damien Hirst, Tracy Emin and Jake & Dinos Chapman a helping hand at key points in their career.

This year we have worked with the Royal College of Art to offer four promising artists the opportunity to exhibit their artwork on an unprecedented scale – having there artwork replace the Becks label on bottles nationwide in August. Once again, providing a foot-up for the next batch of Damien Hirsts.

I wondered if you would be interested in finding out more about the campaign? The winners and their works are well and truly under lock and key until Mid July. However, I can reveal to you the names of the winning artists, their biogs and some examples of previous work if you’re interested?

Please let me know what you think?

    Cheers

    James
